Here are some kind words people have said... Back Home Click here to read the review on Indie-Music.com. Or just read below. By Genevieve Will Comparisons certainly cannot say it all, but I will argue that Eric Milano has all the soul, excellence of voice, and potential of Ben Harper or Blind Melon’s Shannon Hoon. Playing blues-style guitar with the confidence of a much older, seasoned musician, Milano busts out his self-titled solo debut as though he’s seen all there is to see. Milano's straightforward style and sensual throaty vocals easily draw you into some kind of comfortable nostalgia you’re not sure why you share with him. With no regrets, I can dub him the best unsigned singer/songwriter I’ve heard. And what’s even better? This is his debut, and no doubt there’s more of his stirring bluesy soul to come. Few voices have impressed me as much as Milano’s on his song “Right Is You,” with its near-gospel quality range and excellent lows and highs. The guitar solo, whom Milano attributes inspiration of to friend Eric Stolze, entirely encompasses the emotional virtue he invests in all of his tracks; the same quality I’m sure will be that which brings him due success. “Alone No More” trudges through the sludge associated with getting over some sort of a relationship, with which anyone can undoubtedly connect. Among its other merits, of which the song has many, are more awesome vocals and that somewhat catchy heartfelt twang even country-music-haters everywhere can appreciate. “Got Some Holes” and “Tuesday Came” remain two of my other favorites, both for the exceptional thought and consideration that clearly was involved in the lyrical creation as well as the billowing and swaying motion each mimics, so breath-like. If you haven’t gotten it yet, the message isn’t too hard: Eric Milano is utterly remarkable. "Most compelling, passionate and inspiring vocal performance I've heard from an unsigned artist this year. Great work." [referring to 'Alone No More'] “…What impresses me most about this recording is your passionate sounding vocal approach. I have the feeling you could sing the phonebook and make it sound soulful…” “…Eric and his songs have commercial potential on the lines of John Mayer, Ben Harper, The Wallflowers etc…” “…I really like this haunting piece--I like its simplicity and honesty. feels like it should be in a movie…” "Your strengths are that you so obviously mean every word and that the words you've provided for yourself as a singer are as convincing as your perfornances." "Vocal performances don't get much more earnest than this, Eric." “…Dear Eric, You've got solid songs with a beautiful rich voice. 'Make it Right' really brings out the aching quality in your vocal and is a lovely song, with a beautiful verse melody and great instrumental arrangements…” “…While it isn't designed to pay off in a commercial sense, 'Anna' conveys a distinct artistic identity, and I think it points you in a viable direction…” “…Hey Eric- I love the Lovett/Isacc vibe on this stuff- you really have found your sound. The arrangements are simple and easy to listen to. Vocals are strong throughout…” “…Dear Eric, Your songs have a solid appeal with sophisticated melody lines and structures. 'Make It Right' is really a moving song both in melody and the simplicity of the production. 'Alone No More' has a great pop feel…” Eric and his band had the #1 song out of 11,000 songs in the rock category on garageband.com in March of 2003. Song was "Captain Black" Comments by various web surfers… If only more of this were on the radio, things would be better Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Wow. Period. This track has both great originality and mood. The vocals were superior, and I am a very, very tough critic. Yet I have no criticism. Well done, gentlemen. Spanish Fork, Utah You're better than Lenny Kravitz. You play the blues for real. I dig it. New York, NY Got a lot of potential. What the hell are you doing here? Might want to shorten your song though. Radio won't play anything over 3 and a half minutes usually. Springfield, Hartford Why doesn't this band have a contract? Great job all around guys. San Ramon, California Producers, Where are you! Get this one sign up up. Sign them up to. They need a recording contract. This band rocks for sure. Listened to it 6 times tonight Santa Cruz, California INXS Playz da Blooz! sounz like da las train 2 jawjah at firs... den it soun like d white boy dat kill hizsef a whackin' dat puppy! iz aight!!
